English-language curator’s tour with Dr. Fiona Siegenthaler and Valence Silayo
The exhibition presents a selection of objects from the cultural heritage of the Chagga people in Tanzania that are associated with important moments in a woman’s life. They came into the museum’s collections around 1900 during German colonial rule. The tour will address how the exhibition came about and how collaboration with members of the Chagga community has enabled new perspectives on historical objects.

Note: Photos will be taken for the Linden Museum media at the guided tour.
